About This Vineyard
Owner and winemaker Will Davenport is probably one of the most skillful and pioneering winemakers operating in England today. Starting with just 5 acres in Kent, Davenport Vineyards has built slowly to become a medium-sized wine producer in the UK.
Their original vineyard was planted in 1991 in Kent, and they now have nearly 20 acres of vines, all managed organically under UK Soil Association Certification since 2000. The winery in Sussex is one of the best equipped in England, and since 1995 Davenport Vineyards have developed a reputation based on the quality and individuality of their English wines. The wines have consistently won awards in national and international competitions, ensuring that Davenport Vineyards proves its place at the fore-front of the UK wine industry and as also as the leading organic producer in the country.
