About This Vineyard
Domaine Gauby is located 20 km northwest of Perpignan and covers approximately 85 hectares including 45 hectares of organic vines up to 120 years and another 40 hectares of grasslands, oak forests and scrublands of an incredible and unique aromatic complexity. Our environment is still very unspoilt, wild, barren, steep and hilly. (Up to 300 meters). We have beautiful land whose vertical layers allow roots to dive deep. Terroirs of limestone, marl and shale. Components that are found in places intimately involved in creating the best wine making grapes.
Our job is to protect the environment, to take nature as an ally, an inspiration, farming organically, omitting chemicals and synthetic preparations and using home-based plants and other natural products like essential oils, compost, etc.. We work to make the most of our land and to seek elegance and freshness in our wines. The goal is to preserve the natural balance and stay free in our choices.
