About This Vineyard
Founded early in the 20th century, the Pero Longo estate was taken over in 1965 by Pierre Richarme, the current owner. Featuring a mix of traditional Sartène AOC grape varieties (Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu and Vermentinu), the organic vineyard enjoys a warm, well-ventilated climate that fosters healthy vines. Following a decision to move over to organic cultivation, the estate began its conversion in June 2000. In addition, biodynamics guidelines were already in place. Located on the route from Ajaccio to Bonifacio, the Pero Longo Estate nestles 15km south of Sartène.
