About This Vineyard
Archives show that the Rossignol family has had vineyards in Volnay since the 16th Century and the Trapet have owned vineyards in Gevrey Chambertin from the 18th century. This accrued knowledge of their vineyards has been handed down from one generation to the next. After several centuries of observation and research, the Rossignol family selected the Pinot-Noir; the only grape variety which, associated with the terroir of our slopes, forms a unique union giving expression to their great organic red wines. Since 2004 all of the Rossignol-Trapet vineyards have been cultivated bio-dynamically.
