About This Vineyard

In 1999, Marc Kreydenweiss purchased Domaine des Perrières in the south of France, in Costières de Nîmes appellation. The result is the ripe, juicy Costières de Nîmes Perrières, a blend of Carignane, Syrah and Grenache sporting blackberry and licorice flavors.

The Kreydenweiss family has been making wine in Alsace since 1650. Marc owns vineyards surrounding the village of Andlau, including three grand cru sites, as well as this property in Languedoc Rousillon. All vineyards are cultivated following strict biodynamic principles fully adopted by Marc in 1990. Together with his son Antoine, Marc aims to produce organic wines that fully express the characters of the soil and grape variety. ‘Drinking our wines is like discovering our life. When you open a bottle you touch our soils and you also touch our family.’ – Marc and Antoine Kreydenweiss, 10th- and 11th-generation vignerons.
