About This Vineyard
Macquariedale Organic Wines, the first Certified Bio-dynamic vineyard in the Hunter, produces a range of award winning biodynamic wines from grapes grown on the Estate. We are passionate about producing wines that are truly representative of our soil and climate conditions. This choice, to produce wines based on sustainable practices, is proving to be a sound strategy for the future prosperity of our land.
The Macquariedale wines are full of flavour with a richness of colour and a diversity of aromas. We also strive to produce wines that are low in preservatives and do not contain fining agents such as milk, eggs or fish making them suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The Estate grows both the traditional Hunter Varieties of Shiraz, Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay as well as the more contemporary variety of Merlot.
