About This Vineyard
Domaine Andre & Mireille Tissot is located in the countryside of Arbois, which is in the Jura region of western France, between Burgundy and Switzerland. Stephane Tissot, the son of Andre and Mireille Tissot, returned to the vinyard about eight years ago after working in wineries in Australia and South Africa. He proceeded to transform the vinyard to total organic production. The vineyards are cultivated bio-dynamically, without the use of synthetic or chemical pesticides. Yields are exceptionally low and only natural yeasts are used. The wines are bottled without filtration.
Domaine Andre Mireille Tissot began to attract world-wide acclaim as a producer of rich, full Chardonnay, flavourful Cremant Sparkling wine and complex, unusual blends from local grape varietals. The five varietals are Red: Poulsard, Pinot Noir and Trousseau. The Whites: Chardonnay and Savagnin. Andre and Mireille Tissot, also produce the famous dessert wine, Vin Jaune which orginates from Chateau Chalon; Cremant du Jura, Cotes du Jura Pinot Noir en Barberon and Arbois Chardonnay Les Gravier.
