About This Vineyard
Each parcel of organic vines at Domaine Cornin carries a part of the family’s history in the Mâconnais. Les Chevrières holds the same plot Dominique Cornin’s father planted over 50 years ago. Clos Reyssié bears fruit from the same vines his father put to seed in 1938. The 100 year-old parcel in Les Serreudières reaches even further into the past of Cornin’s roots in the vineyards. In the same manner that these old vines labor to yield the fruit, Dominique Cornin subtly guides his organic wine from vine to bottle with little interjection. Dominique vinifies both of his Mâcon-Villages with an emphasis on reflecting the character of the individual parcels. He farms using biodynamics to give his vineyards the best chance to express their terroir – and they reward us all for the attention!
