About This Vineyard
The Dirler-Cade organic vineyard is located in Alsace, in the small village of Bergholtz (1000 inhabitants), near Guebwiller. Guebwiller is the gateway to the enchanting valley of Florival, leading to the summits of the High Vosges mountains. The domaine is located exactly halfway between the cities of Colmar and Mulhouse. In 1871 the founder of Dirler Wines set himself up as ‘gourmet’ in the village of Bergholtz. Since then, the winery has passed from generation to generation. Jean, Georges, Georges, Jean-Pierre and now Jean are the 5 generations of winemakers. In 1998 Jean married Ludivine, daughter of Léon and Nicole Hell Cadé, winemakers in Guebwiller. Since 2000, the domaine has included the parcels of Ludivine’s parents and adopted the name of Dirler-Cadé.
