About This Vineyard
Domaine Francois Baur is run by Pierre and Thomas Baur. Situated at the end of the valley of Munster, overlooking the town of Turckheim, the vineyard enjoys remarkably long hours in the sun due to its south to south-easterly exposure. In addition, it rises to an altitude of 345 m, further benefiting from the cooling breezes found at these higher altitudes. Its homogenous granite make up and excellent microclimate particularly favour the production of organic Riesling, Tokay Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. The domaine has been biodynamic since 2001.
