About This Vineyard
Hahndorf Hill Winery is a micro-boutique producer specialising in Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz, as well as a unique rosé and all wines are specifically crafted to provide a sensational experience with food. Located outside historic Hahndorf village in the lush Adelaide Hills of South Australia the vineyard prides itself in maintaining a fresh vibrancy to the wines.
This vibrancy comes from farming organically and from keeping yields low to ensure pure, concentrated flavours. The vines are rooted in a loamy mix of slate and ironstone benefiting from meticulous canopy management and yield control regimen. All the grapes are hand picked, plus irrigated as little as possible, to ensure that those carefully nurtured flavours remain locked into the berry before processing. The result is the production of the award winning Hahndorf Hill organic wines rated 5 stars in the 2009 James Halliday Wine Companion.
