About This Vineyard
The domaine is nestled in a gentle ripple of hills that descend from Mount Amiata to Monte Argentario. Five hectares of organic vineyards surrounded by dense forest, a formidable barrier against the cold winds from the north. The forest also ensures security for the organic and biodynamic farming practices that have been practiced since 1990 by the owner Emilio Falcione. Emilio believes strongly in this method of agriculture, working on indigenous grapes, Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo, Trebbiano and Malvasia. The soils are particularly suited for the cultivation of vines at 500 meters above sea level and give rise to healthy, aromatic grapes. The harvest is carried out between 10 and 25 October to allow each cluster to become fully ripened.
